Evidence-based therapy for youth and young adults.
I work with individuals and families and specialize in these areas:
Young Adults in Transition: I support clients in their late teens & early 20s in working with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, identity exploration, and navigating life transitions such as breakups, graduation, moving, and early career experiences.
Anxiety & Panic: Anxiety is the leading mental health challenge for youth today. Everybody worries sometimes, but when anxiety gets out of hand it can derail your life priorities. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) can provide skills to face fears and get control of worry.
Adolescent Therapy: As schools reopen, many teens are faced with major adjustments that can bring stress, anxiety, and depression to the surface. Counseling gives teens coping skills to help them keep moving forward.
ADHD & Childhood Issues: Whether your child has been diagnosed with ADHD (a neurodevelopmental disorder) or has developed problem behaviors, I provide short-term, educational therapy that gives parents skills to manage their child’s behavior and improve relationships within the family, while building parent knowledge around child development.
Depression: Depression rates are increasing and many young people are experiencing loneliness, self-doubt, low self-esteem, and anger. Behavioral and cognitive strategies can help clients start feeling calm, connected, and confident.
Trauma & PTSD: When a person experiences trauma, changes in brain chemistry can impact sleep, mood, emotional control, and connections to others. I offer both directive approaches to trauma treatment (TF-CBT, Cognitive Processing Therapy) and body-based therapy (Lifespan Integration).
